An investigation has been launched into claims that two men murdered an 80-year-old woman in north Belfast

An investigation has been launched into claims that two men murdered an 80-year-old woman in north Belfast. The body of Ann Maguire, who was shot in the head in County Down on 22 January, was found in Glenrothes, County Down, on Thursday. Police said the victims, both of whom had been missing for more than a month, were identified as John Larkin and William Tregwy. A police spokesman said they were in the early stages of an investigation and detectives were being called to confirm the identity. The men, aged 28 and 24, both of whom have previous convictions for murder, were arrested at their home in Dunsop, County Londonderry. The woman, who has been reported missing by her husband and children, was found with a number of stab wounds in Dunsop and died later at Belfast”s Queen Street Hospital. She had been reported missing in Belfast on 21 January after her car was involved in a crash
