The Queen has returned to Windsor Castle to celebrate the 100th anniversary of her coronation

The Queen has returned to Windsor Castle to celebrate the 100th anniversary of her coronation. She arrived at 13.51am and left with about 700 guests at 09:01am. There were a few “pantomime” moments as people in and out of the palace tried to get to the front of the crowd. Afterwards she told guests she could feel their heart rate, telling them: “It”s nice and heavy. But it”s all right.” She has been in England a fortnight and is now at Balmoral in Scotland for two days before heading to the Scottish capital, Edinburgh. The Queen has been making a series of engagements over the past few days including meetings with business leaders at a business breakfast, attending a lunch at the National Trust”s Scotland HQ and meeting veterans.
