Investigators from Bochum and Saarbrücken have identified several security concerns with drones produced by DJI, some of which are critical. It is possible for users to switch its serial number or disable the tracking features that allow police to trace the device and its operator. In particular cases, it may even be possible to remotely take down the aircraft while in flight.
