Amazon has discovered a way for robots and people to collaborate that has positive financial effects, leading to savings of $500 million annually. By having robots transport shelves of merchandise to staff members to fulfill customer orders, the distance the robots have to travel is reduced and Amazon’s storage space is reduced.
