Raffaello D’Andrea and his team of researchers in robotics have come up with a clever cube-shaped robot that is able to balance itself on a pivot, while also having the ability to adjust itself to counter circumstances coming from outside. What makes this new creation, called the One-Wheel Cubli, different is that it only requires a single reaction wheel, which makes it stand out from its predecessors.
