Khronos is developing an open standard called SYCL SC which will enable safety-critical computing using C++ across heterogeneous platforms.

A new Working Group is creating a version of the SYCL framework for high-level parallel programming to make safety certification in the automotive, avionics, industrial, and medical markets easier. They are inviting organizations from these industries to participate.
