Bing declared that they would no longer require people to be on a waiting list in order to use their GPT-4 powered chat.

Microsoft has finally put its Bing search engine in the limelight after releasing a GPT-powered interface one month ago. Nevertheless, the company has been hesitant to allow the new GPT-4 powered version of Bing to be used by the public. It seems that Microsoft is starting to break down those barriers.

Microsoft, who has made a large investment in OpenAI, has apparently discarded the waiting list for the new Bing, making it possible for anyone to get immediate access. Windows Central, which was the first to take note of this alteration, noted that users no longer have to wait to experiment with the new Bing. TechCrunch tried this out using some previously existing and new email IDs and were able to gain entry right away. Nonetheless, not all of the email IDs that were tested were given access immediately.

The Bing homepage still has the same “Join the Waitlist” button, yet you can immediately join without delay. We have asked Microsoft for a statement and will add any information we receive to this report.

Microsoft is having a presentation known as “Enhance Productivity Using Artificial Intelligence” on Thursday at 11 am Eastern Time. The main topics of conversation will be introducing AI-enhanced applications for Microsoft Office and Dynamic 365. It is possible that they will also reveal something associated with Bing.

Microsoft, based in Seattle, is making a swift effort to incorporate an AI chatbot into a lot of its services. In the previous month, GPT-4 powered bot was added to the taskbar of Windows 11. Moreover, the stable version of Edge browser received the Bing AI chatbot feature earlier this week.

OpenAI’s technology is proving to be successful for Bing, which recently announced the accomplishment of 100 million daily active users. This is not surprising due to the attention that AI-driven chatbots have been receiving, and the millions of individuals who have tried them. After individuals were able to alter the chatbot to say controversial statements, Microsoft started to experiment with different limitations on conversations. This week, the maximum number of turns in a conversation was increased to 15, and the maximum number of messages allowed per day was upped to 150.
