Salesforce Ventures is dedicating a new fund worth $250 million to startups working on generative artificial intelligence.

Salesforce is ready to put money into businesses which make use of artificial intelligence labeled as ‘responsible generative AI’ and this will affect the company as a whole.

Salesforce Ventures, the venture capital arm of the cloud software giant, declared that they had a $250 million investment fund focusing on generative AI. This preceded the organization investing in four distinct startups: You.com, Anthrope, Cohere, and Hearth.AI. You.com is a search engine company that has recently introduced AI capabilities, Anthropic is an AI startup that was started by former workers of OpenAI with hefty funding, Cohere is an NLP startup that associated with Google recently, and Hearth.AI is an unidentified startup.

At the TrailheadDX developer conference, Salesforce revealed a “Einstein GPT” pilot program that brings properties similar to ChatGPT to the wider Salesforce platform. This includes a ChatGPT app for Slack that offers summaries of conversations and content writing aid inside the business communication app.

ChatGPT is a conversational-style technology educated using substantial language models that can generate essays, poetry, song words, articles, and other items from elementary commands written in natural language.

Salesforce Ventures has created various investment funds which are specialized in certain regions, for example Japan and Canada, as well as an AI fund that is dedicated to helping companies build AI capabilities on top of the Salesforce platform.

It isn’t shocking that Salesforce Ventures has chosen to put money into businesses focusing on one of the trending technologies in recent years.
